Some Middlebury History

 A while back, I saw someone post a question about a famous baseball player being on trial in the 1960s in my hometown of Middlebury Vermont. I had no recollection of this, but I was just a kid and all I remember is the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show, a quest to land men on the moon, and men with last names starting with K being assassinated.   So I did a few Google searches and found out it was Leo Durocher. At the time of the trial, he was a coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers. As a kid, I was not yet a big baseball fan which would occur later when I joined Little League and started playing. But I did know the name of Leo Durocher, but it was mainly because of my favorite TV shows at the time. Of course, one of my favorites shows was the The Munsters . Herman Munster, played by Fred Gwynne, and his family of other "Munsters" was a comedy and I watched it religiously.
