Digital Hoarding V

Image
Earlier in the month I started sharing again some digital files I have hoarded. Here are the one I have collected from the last post in early May, and the ones I saved in November and December of 2022. The first two are old Black & White photos. The first is of a guy playing a banjo. Do you recognize him? FYI, that would be Jerry Garcia, lead singer of the Grateful Dead. The second is of actress Lynne Frederick, she was married to Peter Sellers and very pretty. In November, we were hit by Hurricane Nicole and I collected this photo of some damage in Cocoa Beach. The 4th Street Fillin' Station is a popular restaurant that was converted on the site of a gas (filling) station. The canopy that use to cover the gas pumps came down. I like the place and it is located on the corner of 4th Street and A1A. In December, someone recognized that Florida and the Grinch looked the same... We had two hurricanes that hit us in 2022 and it was very similar to the ones that hit in 2004. I lost

Two New Breakfast Spots

Recently, I have eaten at two new breakfast places. Both were new to me and were added to my Bucket List. Here is a quick review of these establishments. The first place, is new to me in its current location. Back in the day, it was located on the Indiatlantic Boardwalk but hurricanes took care of (knocked down) the building and it was finally demolished. When it was actually beachside, I went to it almost twice a month and enjoyed the service and the food. But then hurricanes took that all away from us and I did not go back. Until now. The place moved to a smaller spot located along Fifth Avenue in Indiatlantic. I am not sure why it took me almost 20 years to get back, but I am glad I did. Parking is kind of a problem because you have to go to Sixth Avenue to find a spot. Here is a Google map to the spot. After parking, you enter from the back and find a door to the Café. Once in, I found there were waitresses wanting to seat you and since the booths were the most popular, I took a mi

Tennis Anyone?

Just like last year, I drove the one hour drive with my friend Ken to go watch Middlebury College play Tennis. The occasion was the National Championships for Division III, and this year they have added the tournaments for Division I and Division II. There is no cost for the Division III tournament. It was Sunday, May 14th, aka Mother's Day so we assumed there would be no traffic. Our destination was the USTA National Campus located in Orlando next to Lake Nona. It was the Quarterfinals, and the Middlebury College Women Panthers, seeded #4, were playing the Blue Jays of John Hopkins, seeded #15. Outside the courts they had maps for each division and where the schools were from. As we entered the seating area, they had already started to announce the teams. Courts 1-6 would host Middlebury versus John Hopkins. Courts 7-12 would be the Quarterfinals between #1 seed University of Chicago vs Carnegie Mellon.  Teams line up for the introductions. Middlebury was wearing the white tops an
