Digital Hoarding XVIII

 I am reaching the end of the pictures I had set aside for the hoarding BLOG. There may be one or more "Digital Hoarding" posts and then I will start collecting new ones. BTW, I have tons of old photos but I don't know which ones I have already shared.

Cool Photos

Taken at a Cocoa Beach Airshow in April of 2021. A WW II era plane had to ditch into the ocean waves. Someone caught this great shot as the pilot landed. I was not there for the crash but I took photos of the plane stuck in the surf before being recovered. The pilot was okay and other than the water, not much damage to the plane.

Middlebury College Campus. I found this photo at a NESCAC site. The photo includes the main campus including the two Chapels. Interestingly, the upper left corner has a yellow building which is where I went to school for 1st thru 6th grades; Saint Mary's. The Saint Mary's church is just to the right.

Not an actual animal but has the brain of an animal...maybe I am insulting animals.

Tuesday would have been my father's birthday if he were still with us. Dad liked to eat at diners and places that served home cooking. Of course, my mom was the greatest home cooker around. So, in memory of my father, I drove to West Melbourne to have a late lunch at Ethel & Fred's Entree Restaurant. It is located in the Metro West Shopping Center at the corner of Wickham Road and US 192 (New Haven Avenue). Outside of Ethel & Fred's I remember there use to be a Draft House Theater, a place where you could order beer and food while watching a first run movie.  Every other row of seats were tables. Gret place. But that was then....this is now.... White Board with Specials of the Day I got in to the Restaurant around 2 PM. "Tell Me What You See" (Digital Hoarding XVI)

 I will admit, that my digital hoarding has become such that I cannot remember any more the details of each photo I have stashed away on my hard drive. At my age, my data storage (aka brain) is deleting things to make room for new things. So let me go through another group of photos, not taken by me but either sent to me, scanned from a hard copy, or just pulled off the internet including from Facebook. Here we go, let us start with a few personal photos I have saved. Personal I actually found this photo in my sister Pat's yearbook and scanned it in. This was the Junior Miss pageant held at Middlebury Union High School. Patsy is sitting second from right, next to neighbor and friend Trudy. Well, I'll be damned, this is a photo I took. My friend Mac Monroe is pulling out some wine. His children rented a house for Thanksgiving and invited me over for the festivities. Play golf at the Neshobe Member-Guest

This was my fourth year playing in the Member-Guest tournament held annually in August at the Neshobe Golf Club in Brandon Vermont. It is the main reason (but not the only one) for my travel by automobile to Vermont. My partner for the last three years has been my brother Tom, a member and worker at Neshobe. The first year I played with Jimmy Pratt. Sign at the clubhouse This year, 2016, was to be played on August 12-14. The weather was not looking good.  I had arrived to Middlebury on Wednesday, August 10. My brother Tom plays with a group on Thursdays so he invited me out. In actuality, Tom Anderson, Bill & Jim had asked if I wanted to play. I had watched Bill dump his golf hand-cart into the stream in a previous year.
